Sister Beuline's Advice

After that last red-hot revival, when the evangelist claimed to have seen several of his flock in Hell's flames, his sermon got to Sister Beuline. She even tore up her recipé for devil's food cake and urged my mother to do the same. She said a cake named for the devil didn't have any place on a saved woman's table. Mama just gave her a kind look and ordered more chocolate from the Rawleigh man.
