News on the Legal Front

Twenty-one trees
the lawyers planted
on Volunteer Saturday

strange sight indeed
sweating dungarees
twenty-one redwoods

soquels and Aptos blue
grow five feet a year
and last five thousand years

twenty-one trees
all donated eagerly
by Valley nurseries

Nary a lawyer
struck a deal or
billed a client

while mockingbirds
surveyed the scene
and serenaded all
