1 look in my full-length mirror
from Ace Hardware—(six ninety-five
once in a lifetime price)
and agree with the mirror
that I am a beautiful woman
for the type I am

My hair is a haystack
my head classic pumpkin
smooth in the jaws
Halloween I don't fake—
these are my teeth

So many prizes go out
to cookie-cutter beauties
parading through life
what does that matter to me

I look in my mirror
thump on my head
agree again with the mirror
T am the best of my kind
